Fighting Cancer / a personal post

Love-og-God-_-dad.jpg

Today's post is near and dear to my heart. A reminder about the fragility of each day and to truly live and share each days with the ones we love. These Bible texts are a beautiful compilation about God's Love for us. Taken from a powerful message I heard in October 2011 from Pastor Winston Bosch from the ERQ.A typographic design that was a gift to my Father-in-law this Christmas from all his children. I was able to put this design together as a special gift to Him as was face a tough few months of the news of his melanoma, surgery was done and we hoped for a better outcomes. Now hearing of lesions that have spread to the brain our world has been shaken. Now we wait on God to do great and wonderful things and radiation treatment to begin...My Father-in-law, sounds far to formal, my Dad is facing the fight against cancer. Now confronted with stage four melanoma, as lesions have spread to the brain, our world has been shaken. Dad is strong and noble man. Always has been like a dad to me, from the moment I became a part of this family he has always treated me like his own daughter. He has always truly felt like another father to me. So willing to lend a hand, share advice, go for a drive, grab a coffee. Sharing in many adventures with my husband from the weekly walks and learning of the great outdoors to ripping out walls and rebuilding foundations of faith. I have learnt so much from Dad and pray I can continue to do so. Dad always has an open heart and open arms to share in our lives. He continues to be strong in his faith as uncertainty of the future awaits. We know that the Love of God is certain and give us peace in these hard days._______________________________
