Chasing Clouds Collection

This collection feels like a huge step for myself as an artist. When the pandemic hit, we were all home and trying to figure out what life would be like. Art is like therapy to me, it calms my soul and is such an escape for me. I have always dreamt of having the courage and bravery to actually share my art with the world. It is something I have done since I was ten years old, it is such a part of me I often forget the power it gives me.

The pandemic hit, I was home. I enrolled in the Residency program with the Studio Source. I had no more excuses, this was the year where I was going to stop dreaming and start doing. I worked through the modules and painted along side. My heart was drawn to clouds, as it has been since I was a kid. Now as I raise my own kids, the sky and the clouds have always been a part of our play outdoors. I captured moments from our travels in the Southwest, our years in California and the skies that felt powerful and calling to me. Then was born the “Chasing Cloud Collection” out of my chauffeur life as a mom, dropping kids off as sports, school, and all the things in between. I wanted to pause the moments and admire the the sky.

Inspired by the way the wide expanse of air that fills the space between the canyons, rolling hills, lakesides and coastal shores to the skies above. The clouds that shift and reflect the light of day and the heaviness of lingering storms. The light always finds a way to appear and bring hopeful vibrancy. The early daylight and sunset hours of the sun shine in pink strokes and warmth explodes into every skyscape.

Launching on February 11, 2022 at 10 am. My first online collection will release! I am squealing with excitement, nervous to actually say it is here! But I did it!

These ten pieces are a part of my story. I am so happy to share this with the world and see how their story continues on!
